Diplomová práce se věnuje oslavě osmnáctých narozenin dvou přátel. Na pěti plátnech jsou zachyceni nejen oba oslavenci, ale také ostatní návštěvníci večírku. Ve víru velkolepé večerní zábavy jsem se rozhodl sledovat účastníky pijatiky, kteří se určitým způsobem na zlomek vteřiny ocitli v nepřítomnosti. Nikoliv ovšem fyzicky, tělesně, ale stavem mysli. Obklopeni společností zůstávají v tento moment sami, vynořují se nad hladinu onoho moře zábavy, vztahů, alkoholu a lidí, aby se během okamžiku nadechli v izolaci své vlastní mysli a opět ponořili do hlubin dění.
The diploma thesis focuses on the celebration of the eighteenth birthdays of two friends. Across five canvases, not only are the two celebrants portrayed, but also the other guests at the party. Amid the whirl of the grand evening festivities, I decided to observe the participants in the revelry who, for a fleeting fraction of a second, found themselves absent in a certain way. Not physically, bodily, but in a state of mind. Surrounded by company, they are, in that moment, alone—emerging above the surface of that sea of entertainment, relationships, alcohol, and people, to take a brief breath in the isolation of their mind before diving back into the depths of the event.
